It has been said to whom much is given much is expected. By all accounts I have been given a lot, particularly by those that came before me, that drives my passion to pay it forward.

I started my career at Cisco Systems Inc. and after 13 years of revamping software manufacturing and putting a router in space, I decided to diversify my portfolio by moving to healthcare IT. I spent time at both Allscripts and Optum. I am currently employed at Hillrom as a Customer Success Manager.  I hold MS in Health informatics, BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering and a Master’s Certificate in Project Management (PMP) certification.

I am excited about the possibilities and the way forward for Teuke. I sincerely believe that this platform will make a difference.

The greatest privilege one can find in to operate in their ‘calling’.  In my view, one has found their ‘calling’ whenever there is a need for their gifting.  As a son of the soil of Dominica, I grew up with the distinct honor of being raised by parents who ensured that my spiritual development took precedence over everything else in my life.  To that end I was drawn by the call of God on my life to ministry work with all intentions of being a pastor and serving Dominica.

In 1995, through miraculous provision from God, I received academic scholarships to study at Texas A&M University in Commerce, TX.  I later received an Athletic Scholarship as part of the Men’s Track & Field Team.  Armed with a BS degree in Industrial Engineering Technology, I have been fortunate to provide strategic leadership and engineering process improvement principles to some of the world’s most recognizable organizations.  With an increasing role in leadership, I returned to school and completed a Master’s degree in Management (2014).

After several years of informal and ad-hoc support to the local public schools in Dominica, my vision and ‘calling’ to provide support to the educational and social development of Dominica’s youth was formalized through the launching of Teuke. Today, I am happy to serve Dominica and US in my capacity as skilled Engineer, but even more so as a minister of the Gospel.

Accountant:

I am proud to call Dominica my home and honored to work with an organization so passionate about their mission to give back to our country.

I am a Certified Public Accountant with over 15 years of experience in the financial industry. Currently employed as the Assistant Controller at Texas Wesleyan University. Prior to Texas Wesleyan University, I worked as a sole proprietor providing tax preparation & planning services for individuals, and financial statement preparation & analysis and payroll services for small corporations. While a sole proprietor I have absolutely enjoyed the opportunities to volunteer my services to churches and other non-profit organizations especially this organization of former college mates making an investment in the lives of the youth of their community.

OUR MISSION

Teuke Ouhayo is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization designed to reach back and pull forward high school graduates such that they can continue on the path towards a college education.  We are reminded of the idea that “the fate of a nation lies in its ability to educate its youth”.

In order to foster higher education we have initiated a variety of programs to support these students. Our programs include but are not limited to scholarships for the graduating class, mentoring, books, debate sponsorship, sports uniforms and outreach.

Mission: to make a positive investment in graduating classes so that those that wish to take their education to the next level are provided with the tools necessary to do so.

Vision: We imagine a Dominica where every household can lay claim to a degree carrying member of that family.

We are committed to the cause and we will continue to invest in our young men and women but we can do it alone. We need your help.
